One Connect, your account
You press Connect once and hook up your own AI: recommended, your API key; or your existing subscription where your provider supports it (Claude Pro/Max, ChatGPT/Codex, Kimi, Grok). Gemini and DeepSeek connect with an API key. Sign-in is built-in OAuth or an API key right in the app; the login happens on your server, and only the sign-in URL, a one-time code and status leave it. Tokens are never shown. You are responsible for complying with your AI provider's terms.
What the AI costs you. Makion doesn't charge for model usage — you pay your AI provider directly, and that bill is separate from your Makion licence. For occasional work a Pro-level plan is usually enough; sustained agentic work — long tasks, whole specifications, autonomous runs — normally needs a Max-level plan or API billing. Check your provider's current plans before you buy, and size the plan to how much you intend to run.

Makion is tested end-to-end on Claude, and that is the experience we recommend today. You can connect other models (Gemini, Codex, Kimi, Grok, DeepSeek) on your own account: they run, but output quality and reliability vary by model and are not yet verified by us. No lock-in: switch the engine per project whenever you want to test another (chat history is kept). Your AI credentials live on your server and your code goes only to your own AI provider. Nothing goes to the Makion service.

What will the AI itself cost me?
That depends on your provider and your plan, and it is billed by them, not by us — Makion never resells model access and never charges for usage. As a rule of thumb: a Pro-level subscription covers occasional development; sustained agentic work needs a Max-level plan or API billing. We deliberately don't print provider prices here because they change — check the current plans with your provider before you buy a Makion licence, and size the plan to your intended workload.
